During this two-day installation, I sat on a twenty-foot high chair from dawn until dusk, under which hung an inflatable scale model of a minuteman II missile. In front, a six-foot wooden chair emitted text through a 1950’s style studio hairdryer. One at a time, viewers could sit in the chair, pull the hairdryer visor down, and listen to interviews I conducted with military and scientific personnel involved in the nuclear weapons industry.
